Continuing a long-standing tradition, the varsity football players from @woodlandhighsc paid a special visit to Williams Memorial Elementary School ! The team hopped off the bus and jumped right into action, working the car rider line. Decked out in their jerseys, they opened doors, greeted students, and shared high-fives with excited elementary schoolers. After all the car riders were safely inside, the players chose books from the library and visited classrooms in pairs to read to the students. A huge thank you to the team, their principals, Mr. White and Mrs. Mims, Head Coach Ford, and Athletic Director Coach Sibert for keeping this awesome tradition alive! #thewood #StudentLeaders #teamspirit

What an unforgettable day at Williams Memorial Elementary School! Today, we had the incredible honor of hosting the standout football team from Woodland High School, who came to visit and read to our students during their class sessions as well as help our on our Morning Car Rider Line. 🌟 They took the time to engage with our students in a truly special way. They shared inspiring stories from their own life, talked about the importance of perseverance and hard work, and even read excerpts from their favorite books. It was a unique and uplifting experience that brought a lot of excitement and motivation to our classrooms. 📖✨ A huge thank you to the Woodland High School Football Team for taking the time to visit us and share your story. Your presence made a significant impact on our students and added a special touch to our school day. 🙌👏 We’re grateful for such memorable experiences and look forward to more inspiring visits in the future. Whys is attendance important? Regular attendance fosters a classroom community between teachers and children. Students who attend school are more likely to succeed academically. Students gain background knowledge from discussions while learning in school. Attending school also provides time for social interactions with peers. Missing just 2 days a month means a child misses 10% of the school year. #schooleveryday
