Alisa Lemon, Principal

Alisa Lemon

Alisa Lemon is the newly appointed principal of Clay Hill Elementary School. A native of Saint George, SC, and a proud graduate of Dorchester School District 4, Mrs. Lemon has devoted her career to shaping young minds and supporting her community. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Winthrop University, followed by a Master's in Education in Teacher Leadership from Claflin University, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.

With 27 years of experience in education, Mrs. Lemon has spent 16 years with Colleton County School District before returning to serve her home district for the last decade. During her time in Dorchester School District 4, she has worked at all three elementary schools in various capacities, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role at Clay Hill Elementary.

Mrs. Lemon is also a proud mother of two college-aged children, Glen and Alaysia. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys crafting and is deeply committed to giving back to the community. Her leadership at Clay Hill Elementary is guided by her belief that "We're Better Together," a mantra that reflects her dedication to fostering a collaborative and inclusive school environment.

Kimberly Hartzog

Kim Hartzog

Kim Hartzog is entering her 17th year in education. She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2008 with her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She has taught grade levels ranging from Kindergarten to 7th grade. During her teaching career, Kim attained her master's degree in Elementary Education, her specialist degree in Teacher Leadership, and most recently, her Educational Leadership add-on credentials. 

Kim is passionate about supporting the teachers and students of Dorchester School District Four. She believes our teachers and students have extraordinary potential and can achieve incredible things with the proper support. 

In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, Sam, her two boys, Barrett and Lathan, and her dog, Ralph. She also enjoys traveling, gardening, and cheering on the Carolina Gamecocks during football season. 

Kim is looking forward to being a part of the continued growth and success of Dorchester School District Four.
